Noticably during the golf dunking scene. - I thought it was just some dirty joke, but turns out black light posters were a real thing. A 70s remnant of hippie psycadelic culture that went way by the 80s. Wonder what happened to them? Amazing how much I learn from Sam & Max. - When the bullets fly out of Flint Paper's office, one of them has Max's name on it for a single frame. Favorite Max VA: Robert Tinkler Favorite Sam VA: David Nowlin Wonder how Purcell imagines them? Apparently, Purcell had a pet rat, which is why he loves drawing them so much. Also seems like he has traveled around the country quite a bit, road trips and weird American tourist traps are a theme in Sam & Max. That's where the read dough is - I'm not kidding! I really want to see little plastic Sam and Max figures (like those damn raisin guys). I want to see some kind of tangible objects I can hold in my hands: T-shirts, bubble bath decanters, cheesy vinyl kits, Pez dispensers, and plush toys... especially plush toys (women love plush toys). I'd also love to see a rubber Max the Rabbit Halloween mask, but I guess you wouldn't be able to see out of its eye holes. Oh, well. But these characters are ripe for licensing - so what if they only appear in a biannual magazine?" Reality 2.0 was developed at the height of NES nostalgia on the Internet and it shows. The flash short has a strangely darker tone than what is usual for Sam & Max. It's like Flash is more than just an animation tool, instead it's a style too, and some essence of flashness managed to get into Sam & Max. I wonder what a whole series of this stuff would have looked like. Max's design would have been right at home next to something like Alien Hominid.
