Phone Bite

Someone I once met needs a ride to school for their night classes.

I'm familiar with the way there - or at least I thought I was, because while I'm driving, I see my usual route is closed. Shit, how else do you get there?

I grab my phone and start to fumble around with it, trying to bring up a map.

Some app I don't want pops up. The phone slows down to a crawl. I try to press something but I accidently touch the screen with a different part of my hand, causing that menu to disappear. I'm about to enter the freeway and I'm under the speed limit.

I get mad. I do something purely on instinct. I bite into the corner of my phone, breaking the glass and bending the aluminum 45 degrees. Problem solved.
